WHAT IS LIGHT EMITTING DIODE THERAPY?

Light Emitting Diode Therapy, commonly known as LED therapy, is a form of phototherapy which involves the application of low power monochromatic and non-coherent light to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. According to NASA® studies, LED Light Therapy stimulates the skin�"s fibroblasts to produce 150% to 200% collagen and elastin proteins. Unlike laser technology that relies on high-power coherent light to create heat energy, LED triggers the body to convert light energy into cellular energy without thermal injury to tissues. Unlike laser resurfacing, light therapy is non-invasive, causes no inflammation and requires no special post treatment procedures. HOW THE SKIN AGES

On the skin's outermost layer - the paper-thin epidermis - old cells continually die, flake away, and are replaced by younger cells that rise up from the lower epidermis. This process renews the skin about once a month.

Beneath the epidermis is a thicker layer called the dermis, which contains substances such as collagen and elastin.  Collagen, a structural protein, is arranged in layers of fiber called fibrils, forming a matrix that holds the skin together. Elastin, a protein similar to collagen, gives skin its elasticity. Beneath the dermis is a layer of fat.

As we age, the dead cells don't slough off as easily, so the surface of the skin becomes rougher. Less moisture is retained and less collagen and elastin are produced, so the fibril layers loosen and become less organized, causing skin to sag. Losing collagen and elastin, the skin becomes thinner, so fine lines appear around the eyes, and deeper lines occur at the mouth and across the forehead. All these changes are accelerated by exposure to the sun. In fact, damage from sun exposure, also called photo-aging or photo-damage, is the source of most facial lines and wrinkles.

HOW DOES EVIS MD PLATNUM RED WORK?

EVIS MD Platinum red light therapy provides light waves designed to penetrate deep into the skin to erase the appearance of aging skin, fine lines, wrinkles, crow�"s feet, brown spots as well as improve skin texture. The energy delivered by the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) enhances cellular metabolism, accelerates the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, and stimulates the production of collagen - the foundation of smooth and healthy skin.

The EVIS MD Platinum red is a handheld device that employs NASA® developed light therapy technology: a non-invasive, low-level, non thermal light energy that activates skin cells. The device employs wavelength at optimal power intensity that is medically proven to be effective in addressing skin problems associated with aging and sun damage. The EVIS MD Platinum has been designed for individuals who want to do their own treatments and touch ups at home or while traveling. 

Used as recommended, the EVIS MD Platinum red may allow people to see results in as quickly as 24 hours. Cumulative benefits are achieved over time with regular treatments. Visible result should occur within 4 to 8 weeks.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL

Treatments are recommended twice a week for 4-6 weeks. The device will beep every 3 minutes to help time the treatment and will automatically shut off after 18 minutes and may immediately be switched on to continue treatment if desired. We recommend an 18 minute session per area per treatment. After the initial 8 weeks of treatment, maintain results with, 2-4 treatments a month.

 STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Begin treatment with a thorough cleansing of the skin area to be treated.

2. Connect the power cord to the bottom of the device and plug into the wall socket.

3. Remove the protective ring. (as directed above).

4. Press the power button, hold for a count of 3 seconds and release. The light will flash twice and the device will turn on.

5. Cover the eyes with goggles or moistened pads. (Optional)

6. Gently place the device directly over the area to be treated. The length of each session cycle is 3 minutes per area.

7. After 18 minutes the device will sound two quick beeps followed by one long beep and automatically shut off. (To shut off device manually, press the power button.)

8. You may immediately turn device on to continue as needed.

9. You may finish treatment with an appropriate Hydrator and Sunscreen.

 CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR
EVIS MD PLATINUM DEVICE

The Evis MD Platinum Red has been built for service and reliability, and should give many years of service if a few service tips are observed.  Clean protective ring with alcohol and replace it on device after each use, to protect plastic cover over LED�"s.  Clean outside of hand piece with alcohol after each use. Do not use dishwasher or autoclave to clean or sterilize.  Do not place hard plastic case near open flame or other heat source.

STORING YOUR DEVICE WHEN NOT IN USE 

We recommend when not in use, to replace protective ring and store clean device in provided stand in a dry environment, avoiding extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

GENERAL WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS

DO NOT use around running water, sinks or tubs

DO NOT attempt to remove clear plastic light cover as this may cause  damage to the LED lights

• Do not use with liniments, salves or ointments that contain heat-producing  ingredients

• If using the EVIS MD Platinum causes any discomfort or any other concerns develop, stop use immediately
